What was Ronald Reagan doing on 12 June, 1987?

-I know that this is the day that he made his famous "Tear down this wall!" speech but where was he when he made the speech? And what other things were happening around this date that would affect his feelings and actions on the day? I need to write diary entries for Ronald Reagan from 12 June 1987- November 12 1989. So if you have any more info that could help me or websites, books etc Thank You!! :)He was in West Berlin when he made this speech. 2 years later - the wall fell which signified the death of communism - one of the greatest events in modern history. Not directly attributable to this speech. Attributable to the fact of human nature that people can't be oppressed and restricted in the long term.

Ronald Regan & Gorbachev were pivotal players during the cold war. Regan for his fight against communism during the cold war and Gorby for his totally new "Glasnost" -openess - policies which lead to the fall of communism. Making a diary during this time period is a very interesting exercise. This is a fascinating period in modern history. I remember this b/c my Dad grew up under communism and when I was a kid everyone was terrified about nuclear war.
