Were the Illuminati good/bad?

-Now, I know that there's a huge network of debate over good/bad, and I do know that no one/thing is truly "good" or "bad", but did the Illuminati have more pros then cons, or what?

Oh yeah, and tell me in a way that a 13 year old can understand.The historical Illuminati were scholars who sought to compete with the Enlightened philosophes (Voltaire, Rousseau, etc.) of France at the time. The Illuminati was formed in 1776 by Karl Weishaupt a former member of the Freemasons and an active Roman Catholic Jesuit who taught Canon (Roman Church) Law at the university level.

He tried to combine both the 'secrecy' of the Freemasons and the governance of the Jesuit Order in this group. He originally called it 'Perfektibilisten' but soon changed the name to the Latin 'Illuminati' which is a plural noun meaning 'enlightened (ones)'.

The group did not grow very much and due to political friction between members and Karl Theodor, Elector of Bavaria, it died out as the result of his banning of all 'secret societies' within the bounds of Bavaria, where it was born. The ban took effect in 1784. This was its death knell.

BLOODY bad. The Illuminati are the reason why children are dying.. And they came up with racism. They came up with EVERYTHING bad we know today. they are basically ruining the world for their ridiculous religious reasons that no one gets. Their main point is to ruin the world.
