I feel like I was born in the wrong era?

-I always feel out of step in our time. Like I don't really belong. I wish with all my heart that I lived in the early 1800's, I know about the diseases and that they apparently had a lower standard of living but I can't help it. I want to live in a time where there were butlers, maids,upper class and lower class, Where things were proper and ordered and when the world was at some sort of relative peace. but I want to know though, I am normal to think like that or is it wrong.



I may be 14 only be but consider myself to be quite well read (Please son't think me a snob) So please do not treat me as a naive child.Nah, I think you're normal. I used to fantasize about living in another era all the time when I was around your age. I think you are growing up and craving something orderly and sensical. Life is beginning to become more unpredictable and that's just what happens. I think it's great that you're well-read as I was too at your age, and it is a great way to temporarily forget the chaos of daily life and get lost in a book! :) I think you are entirely normal and you should ALWAYS be your beautiful self.
Just because you put a question mark on the end of that statement does not make it a question. You seem to have a bit of a problem there, you will never live in that era, and the world has been modernized, and you will never be able to live that way. So what is your point with posting on here? Do you feel as tho someone using this website will have access to a time machine they will allow you to use?
Back in the 1800s wasnt all so happy and jolly.

A lot of people died from simple things like the flu,influenza and more.

And in the 1800s there were horrible wars of bloodshed.They're wars now in our era too,but it wasnt as bad as the 1800s.

And 80% of the era was peasants.They never brushed their teeth,and they were very unsanitary,some died from swine flu.

Be happy that you are from the modern era.
For poor people, any other time in history, if they could have been rich, would be their era. .
You and me both... I just think it would be cool to live on the frontier. Colonial times would be just as good, though I have no interest in owning slaves.
