History Essay? (Easy question) WWII?

-I need to write an essay either about 3 canadian battles that helped the allies win WWII or 3 ways canadian women helped. Which one do you think is easier/better to do? If u have 3 strong points feel free to share, it'd help a lot :)3 of the important battles Canadians played a major role in during WW2 were:

- Battle of Dieppe (France) a.k.a. The Dieppe Raid August, 1942, although it was a German victory, the Allies gained valuable information needed which helped to win the day during the D-Day invasion.

- Battle of Ortona (Italy) December, 1943

- Battle of Caen (France) June - August 1944this will help, id go with the battles,

after skim reading quickely, theres more than enough to use there (all the info is on that wiki page, you can always google the points for further info



two main jumping off points may be * their contribution at juno on the June 6 D-Day landings and their help with pilots and planes during the battle if britian, and the naval contributions.

How can they be Canadian battles? There were no battles in Canada in WW2.

What you need to look for is battles in which Canadian forces took part - such as the Battle of Britain where Canadian pilots flew fighters.

As for Canadian women, you will have to research what women did there to support the war effort, or if they joined as nurses etc. and came to Europe.
