Favorite group of people in history (e.i. gypsies, pirates)?

-For me it's pirates, I find them so fascinating. What about you? Just out of curiosity. I can't really think of any more, but I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I'm a writer and I'm also looking for inspiration for a story, so if you give me any sort of idea to jump start my mind, that would be great. I can't quite write about pirates without ripping off Pirates if the Caribbean :)Probally the Spartans or the GreeksVikings, there way of life was war, and simply living off the land. They knew how to enjoy themselves and they respected there enemies and friends alike. In my mind they are the best group of people, they would never want to much, they just wanted enough. And they never had lust for Power, they knew it had to be balanced.
Probably the Nazis. Obviously I don't mean I agree with their views, in fact, I strongly oppose them, however, I just find Nazi history so fascinating. WWII and the Holocaust is a big part of history, and I'm glad I got to study the two.
Vikings. Probably because of how brutal they were. It just interests me a lot.
Pirates.

Because they were free... :D
